This historically significant temple is one of the most amazing tourist spots in Nagaon District of Assam. The temple was built during Ahom reign by Pramatta Singh who was an Ahom King. Earlier, in the temple human sacrifices were carried in front of the main deity but now these age old traditions are not continued anymore. The swords and other tools used for sacrifices are preserved in the Guwahati Museum.
