This pristine white place of worship is approximately 2 kms away from the city of Guwahati. The temple houses two very beautiful figures of Lord Krishna and his wife, Rukmini. The ISKCON Temple has become one of the celebrated tourist spots of Guwahati because all people irrespective of caste, creed and colour are welcomed here. On Sundays, the temple is thronged with several devotees who come from near and far to attend the aarti and offer their prayers. Even though this makes the place crowded, it is actually the best day to visit the temple. The people who have visited the temple claim that it is one of the most peaceful places they have been to. You can participate in offering prayers in ISKCON Temple. There is also a tourist souvenir shop from where books and other religious articles can be bought. The temple is a lovely sight during the festivals of Janmashtami (September), Jagannath Rath Yatra (July), and Holi (March) which are celebrated with great joy. Therefore, visiting the temple during the festivals is one of the best things to do.
You can visit ISKCON Temple by simply boarding buses, taxis or autos. The road conditions are good which let you enjoy a short, pain-free ride.

Monsoon rain pelts down quite heavily during July to September. Winters, i.e., October to March, is a comfortable season to visit ISKCON Temple when the temperature ranges from 10 to 25 degree Celsius.
