Gently seated in a small tourist town in the southern part of Sikkim, Buddha Park is a must visit place by every traveller. This famous attraction serves as an important landmark to the Buddhist community; it was constructed on account of the 2550th birth anniversary of Lord Gautama Buddha in 2006. And to erect the 130 - foot high statue Ravangla was chosen. This divine comeliness fenced in by lush eco garden also helps promote pilgrimage tourism in Sikkim. Buddha Park is almost entirely covered by tinkers and both international and domestic tourists admiring the scenic charm of the memorial and its surrounding beauty. In addition, Cho Djo Lake is also located within the complex giving it an added attraction to visit.

The best time to visit Buddha Park is from April to June, September to November is also an ideal time to get a clear view of the snow capped Himalayan Mountains and beautiful flowers blooming around the park.
Getting there :
Buddha Park is located in Ravangla and it is at a walkable distance from the main town. However, it is about 80 kilometres from the capital Gangtok. Taxi facilities are available to get to Buddha Park from all major towns of Sikkim.
