Sikkim offers travellers with a riveting and an unforgettable experience exploring the many wonders it has to offer. And one such attraction this land provides are the hot springs. There are about five to eight known natural spa destinations in this lesser explored Northeastern state. These hot springs in Sikkim also known as thermal springs have water with the temperature of 50°C even during the winters. It is believed that these hot springs have medicinal value and therefore, they are ideal for taking a dip. Amongst the most visited water springs is Reshi Hot Spring, whichis located on the banks of River Rangeet and about 25 kilometres from Gyalshing. With its special therapeutic powers, the spring heals all kind of skin diseases.
Other noteworthy and must see hot springs adding beauty to this already scenic state are Borong and Ralong Hot Spring, which are located 7 km from each other. Yumthang Hot Spring is another popular thermal spring in Sikkim and it is located few kilometres away from Yumthang Village. Yumesamdong also known as Momay Samdong also comes under the top places to visit hot springs in Sikkim. This spring is located at the base of the Donkia La which is about 25 kilometer drive from Yumthang. The best part about this spring is that since it is mostly covered in snow and is located in a remote area.
Very few people pay a visit, hence, you get to spend some quality time all by yourself. Other hot water spring found in Sikkim are Shagyong Hot Spring, Gangyap Hot Spring, Tholung Hot Spring and Lhabha Tarum Hot Spring.
