Best Time To Visit

The lake seems different in different time of season like from Jan - March; the lake and the the surrounding hills are in frozen state, from April - May; one can visit the Rhododendrons and Orchids, whereas from Oct - Dec offers the pleasant atmosphere with best views of the hills.

It is situated 38 km from Gangtok, one can take a shared vehicle or can hire a private taxi, that will take around one hour to reach Tsomgo Lake
