You should not miss out visiting Madanant Mandir, located in Savoi, Verem in Ponda Taluka during your temple tour in Goa because it’s believed to be around 500 years old, is adorned with intricate designs & enjoys a lovely location.

The Madanant Mandir is surrounded by cashew nut & coconut trees, fields and hills that stretch into the distance. Lord Vishnu is the presiding deity of the temple, and is shown with his consort, Goddess Laxmi.

What the temple lacks in size, it more than makes up for it in elegance & style. The pillars are all adorned with intricate designs/ A two storey high lamp towers is the distinguishing mark of this temple. In close proximity to the temple is a water tank used mainly for rituals.

Festival Held at Madanant Temple

Gade is the main festival held in the temple. It begins on Phalgun Purnima & attracts huge crowds. During the festival, the presiding deity is made to sit on the chariot & given a ride around the temple & the village.
