This temple, located at Arvalem in Bicholim Taluka, about 45 kilometers from Panaji, enjoys a splendid location, which no doubt enhances its overall beauty.

Features of Shri Rudreshwar Mandir

Shri Rudreshwar Mandir, although newly built, stands on an ancient site. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva & is visited by devotees to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva & pray for their ancestors.

Arvalem Waterfalls, which cascades from about 70 meters and is one of the most famous waterfalls in Goa, is located right beside the temple. The image of Lord Rudreshwar is installed in such a way that it faces the waterfall.

You can reach the temple via the stairs that are located in close proximity to the waterfall.

Since Shri Rudreshwar Mandir is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Mahashivratri is the major festival celebrated in the temple.

How to reach?

Shri Rudreshwar Mandir is located just beside the famous Arvalem Waterfalls at Arvalem. Regular buses run between Arvalem to Mapusa & Panaji. The nearest bus station to Arvalem is KTC bus station at Mapusa. Taxis and motorbikes can also be hired from Panaji or Margao to reach the Arvalem waterfall.
