Summer Season (May-July)

The summer months from May to July in Lhuentse are characterized by their cool and pleasant weather. The temperature varies from 16°C to 25°C, making it one of the coldest places in Bhutan during the summers. This is the perfect destination for nature lovers and adventure buffs who want to refresh themselves in this scenic destination amongst the deep river gorges and lush green coniferous forests.

Monsoon Season (July-September)

The monsoon rains arrive in Lhuentse at the beginning of July with light showers and drizzles. However, it is during the months of August and September when the place gets drenched in heavy rains. The temperature remains below 18°C during these months, making this region the ideal spot to enjoy the rich biodiversity offered here and take a respite from the hot and humid weather of the populous cities of Bhutan.

Winter Season (November-March)

Lhuentse experiences a long and harsh winter, owing to its close proximity to the eastern Himalayas. Towards the end of November, one can feel the chill in the air and this marks the arrival of winters in this region. The temperature ranges from 6°C to 12°C during the day. During the nights, the temperature falls below sub-zero. The whole region gets hidden under a thick blanket of snow during the winter season making it ideal time for snow lovers to visit this fairytale land and enjoy its snowy charm.
