Best Time to Visit Satara

Summer

The summers in Satara are often unbearably hot and contribute to lower tourist activity. With day time temperatures often touching 40°C, you would most likely spend time within your hotel rooms.

Monsoon

The Monsoon and the pre-monsoon period is the best time to visit Satara as the Kaas plateau is awash with a colorful covering of wild flora, very seasonal but a heritage to the world and a unique bio diversity hotspot. Since only 2000 visitors are allowed to enter the Zone per day, a net check in would be advisable to avoid disappointments. The August to October period would be the ideal time to experience light drizzles, misty mountain sides, strolling strawberry fields and many other unique experiences.

Winter

The November to February winter period sees a dip in temperatures, with average temperatures reaching as low as 11°C. With a drier climate, touring would be a pleasure. Early morning walks to see sunrises and enjoy forested grassy views would be pleasurable. Boating upon the Koyna and Krishna would make for breath-taking views and fill your lungs with fresh air as you take in the surrounding beauty.
