Pallippuram Kerala

Situated 5 kms away from Cherthala, Pallipuram is a small scenic village. A serene village, it is surrounded by water on three sides and has Vembanad Lake in its east and west side and Chenganda River in its south. A bridge connects Pallipuram with the mainland Cherthala while boats and ferry service to Vaikom are also available. A unique feature of this place is the whitish sand due to the high silica content, which by the way is used in production of glass and cement.

A bridge provides access to Cherthala from Pallipuram. One can also take ferry ride from Vaikom to this place.

A major attractions in the village is Pallipuram Church, which was built in the 3rd century AD. Apart from it, ferry ride is a good way to explore the area.

Best Time to Visit

The soothing months of December to February are ideal to visit Pallipuram. The humidity level is almost zero and one can comfortably be out in the sun.
