Summer Season (May-July)

The summer season in Mongar is characterized by pleasant to moderately warm days and cooler nights. The mercury reaches a maximum of 35°C during these months. Monsoon Season (August-September)

Mongar like the southern and eastern dzongkhags of Bhutan receives moderate to heavy rainfall during the monsoons. The monsoons bring some much-needed relief from the summer heat and the temperature falls below 30°C. It is the ideal time to visit Mongar to experience its pristine rain-soaked atmosphere and scenery.

Winter Season (November-February)

Winter arrives in Mongar by the end of November and from December onwards, the place gets engulfed by chilly winds. Mongar experiences cold winters. With the mercury falling to as low as 4°C, Mongar becomes the perfect winter holiday destination during this season. November is also the ideal time to visit this place to witness the magnificent Mongar Tshechu.
