Its thrilling beauty nurturing in the lap of soul soothing surroundings makes it a perfect spot for the family picnics as well. The beautiful lake slouching on the river, with an inspiring view of rugged cliffs in the background, offers itself for boating along its soft waves.
The Rangit Water World, being built on the reservoir of Rangit River Dam, makes it a compulsory visit to grasp everything the place has to offer. A foot suspension bridge through the banks of the River Rangeet will reach you to Kirateshwar Mahadev Temple to get enlightened amidst the blessed environment. Then rejuvenate yourself by taking a refreshing dip into the Sulphurous Hot Springs; famous for its extraordinary medicinal values. The Rangit Water World is mainly for the summer month from March to May. It is open in all days of a week( 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM). The entry to this place is paid.
After 3 to 4 hours drive, reach the Rangit Water World in legship on a shared taxi / SSRTC bus from Gangtok (95 km). Private taxis are available from Gangtok, Siliguri and other cities.
