Chumukedima Dimapur

Chumukedima is a census town in the district of Dimapur in the state of Nagaland. The town is located 14km away from Dimapur and is situated nearby National Highway 39. Situated in the foothills of Naga Hills, Chumukedima served as the first district headquarters of the then Naga Hills district of Assam during 19th century of British rule. It is a tourist village on the top of a hill project giving bird’s eye view of the whole district of Dimapur and even of Karbi-Anglong District of Assam. Many waterfalls are also located in and around this tourist attraction.

The Triple Falls is located in this village and is one of the best places to visit in Nagaland. Apart from that you can also visit, Naga Shopping Arcade, Nagaland Science Centre, Zoological Park, Shiva Temple, Kachari Ruins and many more. There are a variety of places in the Nagaland which will leave you in awe.

Buses and auto rickshaws are the main mode of transportation and are easily available from the city centre of Dimapur. You can also hire taxis or cabs to reach Chumukedima directly.
