With gradually increasing tourism, Nagaland’s road transport is also developing. Where once were dirt roads, a paved way is coming through, evidently reaching Nagaland by road is becoming easier year by year. Currently, there are two easy ways to reach Nagaland, i.e., by taxis and state buses. Nagaland State Transport (NST) has developed a good network in the state, and offers its services from cities like Guwahati in Assam as well. Private buses like Blue Hill and Network also ply from Guwahati to destinations such as Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung. Taxis are available from different parts of the state and from Guwahati as well. An ideal way to real Nagaland would be to fly to Dimapur and then from there take a share cab to Kohima, which is around 47 - 50 kms away.
