Connaught Peak Mahabaleshwar

Connaught Peak is the second highest peak of Mahabaleshwar which was formerly known as Mount Olympia, but then became popular as Connaught Peak after the Duke of Connaught visited this place and got mesmerised by its outstanding scenic charm. It is situated at a height of 1400 m above the sea level, and offers the awe-inspiring views of Pratapgad Fort, Venna Lake and the Krishna Valley. Apart from the nature lovers, it is considered as a beloved spot for the trekkers who never miss a chance to climb up here to view the refreshing sunrise and the peaceful sunset.

Best time to visit this beautiful place is during monsoon from June to September, and for the trekkers, after monsoon months from October till February can be said to be suitable.
