Panamik Nubra Valley

This uninterrupted destination in Ladakh creates a heaven on earth ambiance. With the snow clad peaks and rich green valley, a visit to Panamik Village will truly amaze you. Famously known for its therapeutic hot springs, this place sees many faces every year. Panamik Village sits on the bank of Nubra River making the place look even more attractive. With the shadows formed by fluffy clouds above, you can see it pass you as you walk around the charming village. Amongst the mentioned attraction in Panamik, this place is also famous for its Pashmina goats and two humps Bactrian camels. Also, it is the base for the trek to Ensa Gompa which is around 250 years old.

Getting There

The Panamik village can be reached via the Khardung La pass and consequently this pass can be used only during the summers. You can hire a rented cab from Leh and other major places in Ladakh

Panamik Village is popular for its hot springs; they are believed to cure various health diseases because it is enriched with a high amount of Sulphur. Many locals and tourists come here to take a dip in the Sulphur hot springs. Besides, there are other major tourist attractions near Panamik such as Samstanling Monastery located in Summor village. Panamik draws tourists to shop for woolen socks, Kashmiri carpet, and Pashmina shawls.

In the market of Panamik, you can also find Horticulture products like walnuts, apricots, apples and almonds. From here, you can take home some Kashmiri and Tibetan relics which make good souvenirs.
