Paonta Sahib Travel Guide Himachal

The zig –zag roads and high –altitude hiking trails of Himachal Pradesh lead to a fantastic pilgrimage site where stories from the Sikhs epics are set: Paonta Sahib. It is the holiest Sikh shrine in Himachal Pradesh; pilgrims arrive here to pay reverence to the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh and the Sikh leader Banda Bahadur. The holy town is located on the boulevards of the river Yamuna in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh. A Gurudwara was later constructed, and one can see some of the belongings of Guru ji here even today. Within the walls of the Gurudwara, there is a famous museum, which exhibits various priced possessions of Sikh Guru's like antiques and weapons.
