Situated on the banks of Godavari, Someshwar Temple, sacred to Lord Shiva, is the oldest temple in the Nashik. Amidst lush greenery, the temple is mainly prominent for its captivating location that can prove to be a soul soothing experience for the devotees. Along with Shiva, Lord Hanuman is too prayed in the temple.
If visiting the temple by car, don't forget to stop at Anandwalli, a village of Peshwa king, which is known for Navasha Ganpati temple located at Anandwalli.

Someshwar Temple is seven kilometer from the main city; so as to reach here one can take a cab, city-owned buses or auto. Buses are available from CBS Bus Station.
On a visit to the temple, tourists can also indulge in boating on the Godavari river. There's a small children's park, next to the boating club, that has swings,
and many other entertainment options for kids. The waterfall behind the temple is a must visit.
