Balaji Temple Nagpur

A major spiritual tourist attraction of the Nagpur city, Balaji Temple is located atop the beautiful Seminary Hills and is a shrine dedicated to Lord Balaji. This is the only Vishnu-Shiva temple in the state of Maharashtra and archanas and abhishekams are performed everyday.

There also a library, residential quarters for priests, and a community hall inside the compound of the temple. The community hall is given on rent to the public for religious ceremonies.

History of the Temple

The Balaji Temple at Nagpur is an old temple and one reason for people visiting it during their holidays, is its picturesque location. It is looked after by Motibagh Sri Skandan Samaj and houses the idols of not only Lord Balaji but Lord Kartikeya, the commander of Hindu God’s arm according to Hindu mythology.

The Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium is one place that you can visit. The Poddareshwar Ram Temple is also nearby. Getting There

The Balaji Temple is one of the many places of interest and so there are many options as far as reaching the place is concerned. There are cabs, autos, and buses that connect this temple to the rest of the city.

Opening/Closing Timings and days 

The temple opens at 6:00 in the morning and closes at 11:00 PM. It reopens again at 4:00 PM and closes for the day at 8:00 PM.

Best time to Visit 

Visit during the winter months of November to February to enjoy a pleasant weather.
