Established by the apostle, the St. Thomas Church in Kodungalloor is one of the oldest churches of Kerala with eye-catching architecture. This church follows the model of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome and is believed to be built in 52 AD. It is considered as the first church in the state. This is one of the seven-and-a-half churches established by St. Thomas, an apostle of Jesus Christ.
