To reach Lavasa by flight, you need to avail air transportation to Mumbai or Pune Airport after which you will have to arrange for a rental car, bus or taxi to reach Lavasa. The journey on road from Mumbai or Pune to Lavasa will fairly take up to 3 to 4 hours. The nearest railway station is Pune Railway Station which is about 29 kms from Lavasa. All major cities and towns of India are connected via rail to Pune. You need to travel by road to reach Lavasa after getting off the train and as the road condition is good, your journey is expected to be smooth.

Lavasa experiences a pleasant weather all year around which makes it a prime travel destination of Maharashtra. In summers, the temperature goes as high as 36 degree Celsius which makes it a bit hot but not enough to ruin your tour. Rain pelts down quite heavily during July to September. Winters, i.e., October to March, is a comfortable period to visit Lavasa when temperature ranges from 10 to 25 degree Celsius.
