Shivkul, Dalhousie

Shivkul is a famous ashram, located in the lovely surroundings of Dalhousie on the Mall Road. This religious destination is one of the prime attractions, which pulls a large number of tourists from around the country. It is an ashram of Vimala Thakur, who is an eminent religious philosopher and social reformer. The prime location of the ashram is on the Mall road, which is between Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk. This beautiful ashram is nestled in the lap of the stunning Pir-Pinjal Hills, which is connecting Chamba district with the neighbouring state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Highlights Many a tourist visit this place in Summer as the lecture sessions are organised by Vimala Behan on spiritualism and disciples, which the tourists attend. They even stay here for some days and attend workshop, managed by the religious philosopher Vimala Thakur. The Shivkul Ashram is enveloped by beautiful pine trees, which makes the place look even scenic, especially in the months of winter.

While some tourists visit the ashram to attend the lecture organised by spiritual guru, many come here to enjoy the serene beauty in a comforting weather, that Dalhousie is known for.
