Maa Tarini Temple Rourkela

Some 9 km away from the downtown of Rourkela, there is located Maa Tarini Temple in Civil Township. By the donation of the locals, the temple was established in the year 1969. Devoted to goddess Tarini - the female embodiment of power, Maa Tarini Temple is one of the most revered Hindu shrines in the region. Throughout the year, a large number of devotees from the neighbouring districts and cities come here to offer their prayers and pay their homage to the presiding deity. As you enter the temple, you can see the idols of two lions guarding on both the sides as if they are guarding the temple. Moreover, a number of other shrines are also visited by the devotees that are located beside the temple Maa Tarini Temple complex.
