Built in the year 1975, Jagannath Temple is situated in a small town called Ahirabandh in sector 3, Rourkela.  Devoted to Lord Jagannath, this temple is one of the most famous Hindu shrines in the city of Rourkela. However, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra are also the presiding deities of this renowned temple. With a total height of 90 m, this magnificently built temple boasts an incredible architectural design. In total, 13 festivals are celebrated at this temple throughout the year with so much zeal and ardour. Amongst which, Rath Yatra receives the maximum amount of tourists not just from the neighbouring districts, towns, and cities but also from different parts of the country.
