Jammu Tawi Railway Station is the nearest railway station to Leh, located at a distance of almost 687 kilometers. One can hire a private vehicle from Jammu to reach Leh.

Travelling by road to Leh is exciting and even counts as an adventure. One can either take the National Highway (NH 1), which connects Leh to Srinagar via the Zoji La Pass. One can also take the Leh-Manali Highway, which, although more difficult, is dotted with high altitude mountain passes & offers you the most loveliest sights.
