Famed as one of the holy Panch Prayag, Vishnuprayag comes at first amongst the gems of Alaknanda River. Best Time to Visit Vishnuprayag

The town of Vishnuprayag is accessible throughout the year. However, this travel place is considered as ideal to visit in summer and winter season, as during the monsoon months, rain hinder the smooth transport.

    The month of April marks the onset of summer in Vishnuprayag and it ends in June. The temperature during these months ranges between 15 and 32°C and the weather remains pleasant throughout the season. Hence, the place attracts large numbers of tourists during summer.

    Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest airport, which is located at a distance of around 279 km from the town. One can hire a taxi/cab from the airport to reach Vishnuprayag.

    Haridwar is the prime railway station of the place which is 288 km from the town. One can board a cab/taxi to reach here from the station. Dehradun also houses a railway station, and thus, one can also take a train till this capital city.

  • By Road

    Vishnuprayag is well-connected with motorable roads to nearest destination, Haridwar and is 287 km away from the town. From there, one can board a local transport to Vishnuprayag. There are number of buses available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate to Haridwar.
