Acquiring its name from the ancient temple housed here, the town of Baijnath is situated at an elevation of 1130 m on the bank of Gomati River. The season of summer and winter are best to pay a visit to Baijnath. Though the town is situated amidst forest and weather remains cold throughout the year but these two seasons bring about the beauty of the town at its best. Thus, summer and winter season are the best time to visit Baijnath.

    The weather in Baijnath during this season remains quite pleasant and the temperature varies between 27°C and 35°C. The months of April to June are the summer season in Baijnath. One can wear cotton clothes during this time but make sure to keep some light woolen clothes for the nights handy.

  • Monsoon

    The nearest airport from the town is Pantnagar airport which is around 189 km away from the place. After reaching the airport, one can take taxis to reach Baijnath.

    The town of Baijnath is also well-connected by railway network. The nearest railway station from the place is located at a distance of 160 km, which is Kathgodam Railway Station. Buses and taxi services are available from railway station to the town.

  • By Road

Once can either drive directly to Bageshwar and then Baijnath. The town is also connected through interstate buses services from Delhi to Bageshwar.
