Being located on an island; Rameswaram experiences the tropical weather. Therefore, the best time to visit this place is from August to April. The place usually experiences hot and humid weather during the summer season, whereas, in monsoon, the island receives plenty of rainfall making winter a more suitable time to visit.

Summers

The month of April marks the beginning of summers in Rameshwaram and it lasts until July. The temperature ranges between 32℃ and 45℃, which at times turns out to be harsh when it comes to touring this beautiful town. However, despite the hot weather, devotees do not cease to visit this place.

Monsoon

Starting from July and ending in September, the monsoon in Rameshwaram brings the temperature down with some cool breeze. The temperature remains between 28℃ and 35℃ and is subjected to moderate rainfall which doesn’t at all stop visitors to visit the place.

Winter

The town sees winter season from the month of November and lasts until March. The temperature fluctuates between 20℃ and 30℃ during these months making it a favourable time to explore this place to the fullest.
