How to Reach Sangla?

Owing to its remote location in the Greater Himalayas, Sangla has a limited air and rail connectivity. However, it is decently connected by road with the other cities of Himachal Pradesh.

By Air:

The nearest airport to Sangla is the Jubbarhatti Airport in Shimla (194 km away) and it enjoys a good connectivity with the major cities of India. One can board a bus till Reckong Peo or take a direct taxi from here to reach Sangla. The nearest international airport near Sangla is at Chandigarh, which is 333 km away. From Chandigarh buses till Reckong Peo are available, taxis, on the other hand can be booked till Sangla.

By Rail:

The nearest railway station to Sangla is the Kalka Railway Station (288 km away), which is well-connected to all the major cities of India. Private Buses and cabs are available here to take you to Shimla from where frequent buses and taxis are available to take you to Reckong Peo and Sangla.

By Road:

From Delhi and Chandigarh, regular HRTC buses are available for Reckong Peo. From the Reckong Peo bus stand, two buses are available for Sangla, one in the morning and one around mid-morning.  Taxis can be hired to reach Sangla from Reckong Peo.
