Over 1300 animals and birds from travel destinations like Africa, the United States, and Australia are sheltered here. The zoo is counted among the list of largest and most well maintained zoological parks around Asia. From the very entrance of the zoo, one can spot a lake where ducks and storks are seen enjoying each-others company. Wildlife lovers are in for a surprise as animals that they can spot here range from Blackbuck, Rhinoceros, Giraffe, White Tiger, Chimpanzees, Jaguar, Gir Lion to name a few. According to the authorities, birds from far corners like Arctic and Serbia are believed to mark their presence in the summer season. Apart from the fauna, the flora is also something that is worth noticing as it not only beautiful but also gives a cozy environment to the wild species. National Zoological Park serves as the perfect place to spend some free time and to enjoy a boat ride. Winters is considered the most ideal time to pay a visit here as the weather stays in favour of tourists as they can easily explore every part of the park.

The park is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed on Friday.
