Manila Hill Station

Approximately 45 kilometers from Jim Corbett National Park nestles Manila, an offbeat attraction in Almora district of Kumaon. Manila village is believed to be the abode of Manila Devi, a look at the village can imbibe a sense of calmness among the travelers and does not fall away an inch by its meaning "enchanting". The village offers the best view of the Himalaya mountains, from Trishul to Panchchulli including Nanada Devi peaks. Don't miss out the view of the sunset and sunrise.

From Ranikhet, Haldwani, and Ramnagar, tourists can easily get taxis to reach Manila.

Things to do & see in and around

Manila is a small village, so for sightseeing there are not so many good attractions. However, if one is eager to spend some time outside then they can visit Ranikhet. There's a museum of Quit India Movement Martyrs at Khumar, which is about 25 KMs from Manila. Tourists can also go on a long drive to Mohaan and Jainal.
