Flora of Corbett National Park

Corbett National Park is one of the most famous wildlife destinations in India. And this must visit place is dotted with natural bounty of various plants and trees. With an area that stretches more than 520 square kilometres the Corbett National Park has diverse flora that is absolutely beautiful. This place is a perfect for wildlife photographers as along with animals, it has various species of plants, climbers, trees, ferns, grass, shrubs, herbs and bamboos.

Corbett National Park is home to different trees like karipak, rohini, ber, simal, grewia, dhak, bael, jhingan, marorphali, kurha, khair, tendu, bakli, pula, sain etc. The most commonly seen plant around the park is Ardisia solanacea. An interesting thing about this plant is that it is a succulent, hence, it stores water for certain animals during the dry season. The bank of Ramganga River at the Corbett National Park grows castor bushes, this plant is also important for the vegetation. Jim Corbett National Park also houses around 33 species of bamboo and 51 species of shrubs.
