How to Reach Tamenglong

By Air

The nearest airport from Tamenglong is located in the capital city of Imphal, which is some 161 km. Imphal International Airport comes on number two when it is about the largest airport North East India. As a result of the this, the airhead also serves as one of the busiest airports in the region. Both, domestic and international flights are available from this airport. In order to reach Tamenglong, one can hire a taxi which would around 3-4 hours to reach the destinations.

By Rail

Dimapur serves as the nearest railway station from Tamenglong. The distance between the railway station and Tamenglong is around 236 km. From Dimapur, you can hire a taxi or can board a bus to Tamenglong.

By Road

Tamenglong is located at a distance of around 142 km from Imphal - the place which is connected with neighbouring cities and states through interstate buses. You can board a bus Guwahati (Assam) or Dimapur (Nagaland) to reach Imphal and from there to Tamenglong. Buses to Tamenglong are also available from all the town of Manipur. Besides, one can also prefer a self-drive to the destinations by driving through roads and highways.
