The temperature drops to about 7 degrees Celsius during the day time, making the entire stretch from Dharamshala to McLeodganj quite cold and chilly. This is the time when most of the couples and honeymooners head to this scenic paradise, looking for fun by playing in the snow or cosying up around the bonfire. Adventure enthusiasts, going on a snow trek of Triund is a hot favourite during this time.
Dharamshala receives substantial rainfall from July to September, with temperatures ranging between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius. Adverse weather conditions, roadblocks and landslides are common during these months. Though not a recommended season to plan your holidays in Dharamshala, if you love rains and the awashed landscape, it would be great to plan a vacation during this time.
