Located east of Manali, above the Jagatsukh Village, Deo Tibba Peak dominates the region of east of Manali along with Indrasan Peak. Standing at an elevation of 6001m, Deo Tibba makes an interesting peak climbing venture for the adventurists. Being a challenging expedition, it requires both strenuous trekking and climbing. It is a 12 day trek and peak climbing expedition which will challenge the trekkers and from time to time push them off their limits. The expedition of Deo Tibba begins from Patalsu Peak, where first peak climbing can be experienced. The trekking trail further head to the meadows of Chikka but the actual climb being a snow hump is accessible once the edge of the ice plateau is reached. Here is the detailed itinerary to understand the plan of action for Deo Tibba Peak Climbing:

Day 1: Arrive Delhi

On arrival at New Delhi airport, you will be met by our representative who shall assist in transferring you to a pre-booked hotel in Delhi for staying overnight.

Day 2: New Delhi to Manali

After breakfast, we will take a half day city tour of Delhi. In the evening, we shall drive to Manali by an AC Volvo bus coach around 6.30pm. Overnight journey to Manali.

Day 3: Arrival in Manali

Upon arrival in Manali, our executive will help you transfer to. Our expert team will meet you post lunch to familiarize you with your other team members and the equipments and gears. Evening time will be kept free for shopping and visiting the local markets. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 4: Acclimatisation Day: Trek to Patalsu and Back

Today, we shall leave early in the morning to take a hike up to the Patalsu peak. The trek will start from Solang Nala, which is about 12 km drive from Manali town. Our goal today will not be to make it to the summit (at 4300m) but to go as high as possible. Once we shall reach at a good altitude, we will spend time acclimatising and relaxing there. In the evening, we will trek back down and head back to Manali.

Day 5: Manali - Chikka via Jagatsukh

After breakfast, we will drive up via Jagatsukh village to the far end of the road constructed by the hydro-electric project at Khanool. After distributing the loads among our porters, we shall start walking up to the valley to our campsite at Chikka (3500m). Chikka is a meadow and is the home to the Nag Devta. It is also the hub for to skiers and snow-shoe hikers in winter. Dinner followed by an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Chikka - Base camp at Tenta

Today, we shall continue with our trail up to the valley. At the top, we will be greeted by a splendid view of Mt. Deo Tibba (6001m). Just before lunch, we will cross the Seri campsite, which is a flatland and is the home to a varied species of alpine flowers and herbs. We will climb the further uphill to the Tenta plateau (4000m), our campsite for the night stay.

Day 7: Complete rest day

Today, we will have a complete day to rest and relax. We will spend the day at the base camp and enjoy eating, drinking and sleeping and adjusting to the altitude. The tasks for the day will include technical gear distribution, crampon fitting and a general meeting on how we'll proceed over the coming days. Just after lunch, we'll take the short walk to the Chota Chandratal Lake and later return back to the camp for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Tenta - ABC (4500m)

Today, we will take our first committed step to the mountain. From now on, the expedition will be run in a semi-alpine manner. Our cook and helper will remain at the base camp. The rest of the team will proceed towards the mountain. We need to carry some common gears and food by ourselves although porters will assist us.

Day 9: ABC - Camp 1 (4800m)

Today, we will climb over the Taintu pass (previously known as Duhangan Col) and proceed to set up Camp 1.

Day 10: Camp 1 - Camp 2 (5300m)

Today, we need to walk over the steep terrain. For this, we will leave early in the morning with determination to set up the camp before lunch. We'll have dinner early in the evening and head straight to bed for some rest before the next day's summit attempt.

Day 11: Summit Day

We will start trekking in the middle of the night in order to take advantage of the hard snow. If everything will go well, we will arrive at the summit early in the morning. After a photo session, we shall head back down to Camp 2. Following a refreshing drink and snack, we'll break camp and head back to Camp 1 for the night. If time allows, we can descend all the way to base camp.

Day 12: Reserved day for Summit

The day is reserved for summit bid. In case of bad weather on the previous day, we shall use this day to attempt the summit.

Day 13: Return to Base camp from Camp 1

Today, we will descend to the Base Camp after attempting summit. Overnight stay at the base camp.

Day 14: Rest day/buffer day

Today will be kept free to rest, sleep and recover from the exertions of the past week. We will be back at the base camp, so we can have the luxury of our base camp cook, who will prepare some amazing feasts to make us feel really good.

Day 15: Tenta - Manali

Today early in the morning, we shall break camp, prepare the loads for the porters/mules and make our way back to Manali. It will be a long walk back down. Our representative shall drop you at your hotel/guest house for a well deserved shower. At night, we shall organize a get together for a customary post-expedition party. Overnight stay at the hotel/guest house.

Day 16: Manali - New Delhi

In the morning, we will o explore Manali and then drive to New Delhi in the evening by AC Volvo bus, which is an overnight journey.

Day 17: New Delhi & Departure

On arrival in New Delhi, our representative will help you transfer to the already booked hotel. Later in the evening, he shall assist in transferring you to the international airport to catch the flight for onward destination.
