  • Arrive Koch

    Upon arrival at Cochin airport meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Kochi - Thattekkad

    After breakfast drive to Thattekkad. a lowland forest with several types of eco-systems - riverine grasslands, evergreen, scrub, dry deciduous, lowland forest, enabling it to be one of the best birding destinations in India. This is also home to most of the endemics of the Western Ghats. One should sight the White bellied Treepie, Rufous Babbler, Crimson backed Sunbird, White Bellied Blue Flycatcher, Wynaad Laughing thrush, Malabar Parakeet, Malabar Grey Hornbill besides owls like the Mottled Wood Owl, Oriental Bay Owl, Oriental Scops owl, Brown Fish Owl, Oriental Scops Owl and Spotbellied Eagle Owl. Red Spurfowl, Grey Jungle Fowl, Indian Pitta, Black-throated Munia and the Grey headed fishing eagle. Overnight stay at hotel.

    Full day bird watching around Thattekkad sanctuary. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Thattekkad - Periyar

    Morning enjoy bird watching around the sanctuary. Later after breakfast, drive to Periyar Tiger Reserve is one of the finest wildlife & birding destinations in South India, with over 320 bird species identified and a leading habitat for the Bengal Tiger, this sanctuary is an ideal wildlife & birding tour. Asiatic elephants, Gaur, sambar, tigers and sloth bear sightings are possible on safaris into the forest. This is also an ideal place to sight the Great Hornbill. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Periyar

    Morning enjoy boat ride on Periyar Lake for bird watching & wildlife viewing. Later in the afternoon enjoy the guided walk along the reserve for bird watching. Night stay in Periyar.

  • Periyar - Munnar

    Morning after breakfast go to Munnar via the Ghats to Khammam where we should sight the Large Grey Babbler, Common Babbler, Jungle Bush Quail and the Grey Fancolin, then proceed to Bodi Ghats en-route to Munnar and stop over for sighting the rare Yellow Throated Bulbul, Indian Robin, Sirkeer Malkoha, Short Toed Snake Eagle, Bluefaced Malkoha and the Black eagle.

    Upon arrival at Munnar check into the hotel. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Munnar

    After breakfast we will go birding in the shoals (high altitude mountain forests) and grasslands for the Nilgiri Pipit, Painted Bush Quail, Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, Black and Orange Flycatcher, Nilgiri Flycatcher, White bellied Shortwing, Broadtailed Grassbird, Grasshopper Warbler. Evening return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Munnar - Top Slip

    Morning after breakfast drive across the Tamil Nadu border to the Indira Gandhi national park - a place known for its great swathes of forests and wildlife - birds, butterflies, elephants, sloth bears, leopards, gaurs dholes, king cobra and the lion-tailed macaques in their natural habitat - all within an area known as Top Slip. We will also bird at the adjacent Parambikulam Reserve as well drive on a wildlife safari through the forest trails. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Top Slip - Ooty

    Morning enjoy birding around Pollachi, Later drive to Ooty. En-route we will stop at several bird watching locations for birding. Upon arrival at Ooty, check into the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Ooty - Mudumalai

    Morning after breakfast, full day birding watching around Ooty & Madumalai. Today we will be looking for the Nilgiri Laughing Thrush, then drive through the Sigur Ghats to Masinagudi. Mudumalai at the foot of the of the Nilgiris hills, is one the many reserves located within the forest belt between the Western Ghats and the Nilgiri Mountains. The terrain being varied with hills, valleys, ravines, watercourses and swamps, moist deciduous forests, dry deciduous forests and scrub forests is ideal birding country. Should see Jerdon's Bushlark, Sirkeer Malkoha, Indian Blue Robin, Chestnut-bellied Nuthatch, White-bellied Minivet, Yellow-billed Babbler, White-bellied Woodpecker, Large Cuckooshrike, Banded-bay Cuckoo, Thick-billed Warbler and Painted Bush Quail.

    Overnight stay in Mudumalai.

  • Mudumalai - Bandipur

    Morning we will go on Bird watching to Mudumalai, here we will be able to see Grey Headed Bulbul, White Bellied Minivet, Jordan Bush Lark, White Bellied Woodpecker, White Naped Woodpecker, Speckled Piculet, Streak Throated Wookpecker, Indian Pitta Great Pied Hornbill, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Painted Bush Quail, Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, Yellow Legged Button Quail, Alpine Swift Sri Lanka Frogmouth, Saravana Night Jar Jerdons Nightjar, Great Eared Nightjar Sirkeer Malkoha, Pied Cuckoo, Drongo Cuckoo, Rufus Bellied Hawk Eagle, Black Eagle, Red Headed Vulture, Blue Face Malkoha, Malabar Crested Lark, Indian Blue Robin, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Brown Fish Owl, Eurasian Eagle Owl, White Rumped Needletail, Stork Billed Kingfisher, Blue Bearded Bee Eater White Cheeked Barbet, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Dusky Crag Martin, Wire Tailed Swallow, Crested Tree Swift, Bay Back Shrike, Puff Throated Babbler, Large Grey Babbler, Little Spiderhunter, White RumpedShama, Olive Backed Pipit, Forest Wagtail, Black Throated Munia, Plain Flowerpecker, Chestnut Shouldered Petronia etc.

    Later drive to Bandipur National Park. Upon arrival check into the wildlife resort. After lunch we will go on nature walk. Overnight stay at resort.

  • Bandipur

    Morning and afternoon jungle safari to the national park for wildlife viewing, and bird watching. Overnight stay at wildlife resort.

  • Bandipur - Mysore - Kokre Bellur - Ranganthittu - Mysore

    Morning after breakfast drive to Ranganthittu wildlife sanctuary. On arrival enjoy rowing boat cruise for bird watching, here we will able to see Eurasian spoonbill, Black-crowned night heron, three species of Cormorant, River tern and thick knee, and many others. Marsh crocodiles will also be seen. Also visit the remote village Kokre Bellur for the Nesting Painted Storks and Spot-billed Pelicans followed by birding at a nearby reservoir.

    Later return to Mysore for overnight stay.

  • Mysore - Bangalore

    After breakfast leave for Bangalore. Upon arrival transfer to the airport for onward connection.
