Rajasthan Train Tour Package

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi International airport meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Delhi - Jaisalmer, By overnight train (Train depart at 17:30 PM)Qutub Minar
After breakfast we will go for a guided tour of Old Delhi, the 17th century walled city of Shah Jahanabad, Visiting the great Jama Masjid, the principal mosque of Old Delhi. Built in the year 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the largest & best known mosque in India.

 Further we will visit the monuments and historical places of New Delhi, here we will visit Raj Ghat, memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is a simple black marble platform that marks the spot of his cremation on 31 January 1948. Further we drive past India Gate, memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls. President's House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931. Until 1950 it was known as Viceroy's House & served as the residence of the Governor-General of British India.

We will also visit Humayun's Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun. The complex is a World Heritage Site & the first example of this type of Mughal architecture in India. Qutub Minar, built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibek. It is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world, an important example of Indo - Islamic Architecture.

 Later in the evening transfer to the railway station to board the a/c sleeper train for Jaisalmer. Overnight stay on board.

Day 03: Arrive Jaisalmer (Train arrives at 11:15 AM)
Arrive Jaisalmer in the afternoon. Upon arrival at Jaisalmer railway station meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: JaisalmerJaisalmer Fort
After breakfast we will have full day city tour of Jaisalmer. Visiting the mighty Jaisalmer Fort - The fort was built by the king Rao Jaisal in 1156 AD, so its name derived. Jaisalmer Fort stands proudly amidst the golden stretches of the great Thar Desert, on Trikuta Hill, and has been the scene of many battles.

 Further we will visit Manak Chowk and Havelis of Jaisalmer also visit the Gadisar lake, and its colorful market. Later return to the hotel for fresh-n-up.

 In the evening we go for an excursion to Sam Sand Dunes to enjoy a camel safari and enjoy sun set at sand dune. Later in the evening leave for Jaisalmer. Upon arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

 Jaisalmer town in India was founded by Prince Jaisal Bhatti. It is located deep in the heart of the Thar desert. Centuries ago Jaisalmer's strategic position on the camel train routes brought it's townspeople enormous wealth that they spent on building intricately carved palaces and temples in golden-yellow sandstone.

These fortresses of Jaisalmer called as "Havelis of Jaisalmer" are like a mirage from the barren Thar Desert.

On either side of the narrow lanes are the sandstone havelis, with stone carvings, screen windows, delicate pavilions & balconies. These beautiful Havelis (Mansions) were built by Jaisalmer's wealthy merchants.

Day 05: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur, By train (Train depart at 17:15 PM and Arrives at 22:25 PM)
Morning free for own activity, or one can opt for some local shopping. Later in the afternoon transfer to the railway station to board the train for Jodhpur.

 Upon arrival at Jodhpur railway station meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06: Jodhpur - UdaipurJodhpur - The Blue City
After sightseeing tour of Jodhpur city. It is the largest city in Rajasthan after Jaipur, Jodhpur stands at the edge of the Thar Desert. It was founded by Rao Jodha. The sightseeing in Jodhpur includes Mehrangarh Fort - one of the most impressive & formidable in the whole of fort-studded Rajasthan is situated on a high natural rock bluff and from which you can look down on the wonderful panorama of the bustling city, further visit to the Jaswant Thada - the Royal Cenotaphs.

 Later in the afternoon drive Jodhpur, en-route we will visit the Jain temple of Ranakpur. Further continue drive to Udaipur. Upon arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay hotel.

Day 07: Udaipur - Jaipur (Train depart at 22:20 PM)
Today we will go for a full day city sightseeing tour of the romantic Lake City of Udaipur. Udaipur famous for the stunning white marble Palace built on an island in the Lake Pichola. It was the former Palace of the Maharana and now converted to one of the most glamorous hotels in India. The tour will cover the magnificent City Palace, the Jagdish temple, the pleasure gardens and a drive around the other nearby lakes.

 The magnificent City Palace, which is simply enormous - a resemblance of not one but four separate palaces covering some four acres of area and exceeding all other palaces for colossal grandeur. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies; and the Peacock Courtyard.

 In the afternoon we will enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Pichola at sunset visiting the Jagmandir Island - in the middle of the Romantic Lake Pichola. It commands a magnificent view of the City Palace, Lake Palace and Sajjangarh Fort, on its own island, and it is where Prince Khurram was given refuge in the 17th century.

 After dinner transfer to the railway station to board the a/c sleeper train for Jaipur. Overnight stay on board.

Day 08: Arrive Jaipur (Train arrives at 06:00 AM) Hawa Mahal, Jaipur
Arrive Jaipur in the morning. Upon arrival at Jaipur railway station meets with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Early check in will be subject to availability.

 In the afternoon we will visit to Nahargarh fort. It was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur city. Nahargarh fort was constructed as a place of retreat on the summit of the ridge above the city. Walls extended over the surrounding hills, forming fortifications that connected this fort to Jaigarh, the fort above the old capital of Amber. Though the fort never came under attack during the course of its history. From here one can have the magnificent view of the Jaipur city.

  Later return to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09: Jaipur
After breakfast an excursion of Amer Fort ascend Fort on Elephants back, afternoon tour of city visiting City palace, Jantar Mantar (observatory), Palace of Winds, Birla temple. Evening transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

 Capital of Rajasthan Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh in 1728 A.D. It is also called Pink City because most houses in old city are pink colored. The city is surrounded by thick wall 20 feet high and 9 feet wide with eight gates. Ajmeri gate and the Sanganeri gate in the south, Chandpole gate in west and the Ghat Darwaza in the east are the main gates. The city is surrounded by the hills except in the southwest. Fort and the temples can be seen on the hills.

Day 10: Jaipur - Agra (Train depart at 15:20 PM and arrives at 21:15 PM)
Morning free to explore the colourful market of Jaipur and do some good shopping of your requirements and collect some souvenir for the memory.
 Later in the afternoon transfer to the railway station to board the train for Agra. Upon arrival at Agra railway station meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Agra - Delhi (Train depart at 20:35 and arrives at 22:45 PM)Taj Mahal, Agra
Today we will visit the famous Taj Mahal at dawn. Taj Mahal was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal, made out of white marble took 22 years to complete (1630-1652 AD).

 After visit we will return to the hotel for fresh-n-up and breakfast. After breakfast we will visit the Agra fort, built by Akbar in 1565 as a military establishment. The Fort was made by red sandstone. During the reign of Shah Jahan it was partially converted into a palace.

 Further we will Itimad-ud-daulah's Tomb or Baby Taj, this exquisite marble tomb was made by Emperor Jahangir's queen, Nur Jahan, in the memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg during 1622-1628 A.D. Built entirely in white marble and inlaid with semi-precious stones, this mausoleum on the bank of the Yamuna River, exhibits a b Persian influence.

 Late in the evening transfer to the railway station to board the train for Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi railway station meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12: Delhi - Departure
Transfer to the international airport to board the flight for onward destination.
