The Kumbum Stupa in the Palkhor Monastery is the most symbolic architecture. The Kumbum Stupa is composed of approx 77 temple halls with over 10,000 Buddha statues in halls, niches and on murals. Founded in 775, Samye Monastery is the first monastery in Tibet which is not just famous for its pivotal history but for its unique mandala design.
