Madhya Pradesh Becomes India’s First State with Inter-State Heli Service: Routes, Fares & Timings Inside
Madhya Pradesh Tourism is ushering in a new era with the introduction of the PM Shri Heli Tourism Service and has cemented its position as the first state in India to provide interstate tourism helicopter connectivity. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the service on the occasion of the state’s 70th Foundation Day. The service is set to facilitate speedy and seamless access to spiritual, wildlife, nature, and heritage destinations.
Kicking off on 20th November, it will help people travel faster in the short run across three key tourism sectors: The Spiritual, Eco-Tourism, and Wildlife. The service runs only for 5 days a week, excluding Wednesdays and Thursdays.
PM Shri Heli Tourism Service in a Nutshell

India’s preliminary interstate helicopter tourism network has been launched by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.
- This provides better access to three major tourism sectors, which are Spiritual, Eco-Tourism, and Wildlife.
- The helicopter will fly attractively to Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, Pachmarhi, Madhai, Bandhavgarh, and Kanha and will substantially reduce travel time.
- The fares are reasonable, starting from ₹2,500.
- Tickets are available for purchase through Flyola, IRCTC Flyola and Transbharat.
Spiritual Tourism: The Ujjain–Omkareshwar – Indore Cluster
The heli route in Madhya Pradesh now makes it possible for tourists to visit both Jyotirlingas, Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar, in a single day, which was otherwise possible only with long distances of road travel.
