High up in the mountains is the Dodital lake- mysterious,
alluring, and simply beautiful ! The serene, tranquil surroundings,
gurgling streams, crystal clear water, and dense alpine forests
make for an ideal retreat. The trek from Dodital to Yamnotri
takes you through high altitude grasslands and dense virgin forests.
The scenery en-route is really astounding !
The
trek for Dodi Tal commences from Uttarkashi or Kalyani,
which can be approached by motor. Kalyani to Agoda is a
gradual climb through woods, fields and villages along·
a mule track. The trek from Agoda to Dodi Tal is steep and through
thick forests.
Day01: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival at airport our representative will meet you and then transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day02: Delhi – Haridwar (294 mts/965 ft) 214 Kms 5-6 hrs drive.
Morning after breakfast drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival at Haridwar check in at the hotel. In the we will take you to Har-ki-Peri, to witness the famous Aarti of holy Ganges. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day03: Haridwar – Sangamchatti -Agoda ((2250 mts/7380 ft) (170 Km + 4 kms Trek)
Morning after breakfast drive to Sangamchatti, The drive takes you through the picturesque Garhwal mountains along with the holy Ganges. Upon arrival at Sangamchatti trek up to Agoda. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Day04: Kalyani – Dodital (3307 10847 ft) (17 Kms/ 5-6 hrs)
A gradual uphill trek through beautiful landscape of thick forests and steep cliffs brings you the mysterious Dodital. Dinner and overnight stay in the tent.
Day05: Dodital
Day free to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Lake and surrounding dense forest. The scenic beauty of Dodital can compel any nature lover to camp here for days together, the lake, the surrounding pine forest, the towering Darwa Bugyal on one side and the valley on the other is serene and enticing. The parikrama around the lake is of 1.5 kms. A few streams coming from Darwa Bugyal feed the lake. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
Day06: Dodital – Agoda (2250 mts/7380 ft) (17 kms/4-5 hrs)
After breakfast we will trek down till Agoda. It is a 17 Kms Trek, Overnight in camps at Agoda.
Day07: Agoda – Rishikesh (4 kms trek + 140 kms Drive)
Morning after breakfast Trek down to Sangamchatti 04 Kms Trek, and from Sangamchatti drive down to Rishikesh 140 Km drive. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening free at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day08: Rishikesh – Delhi (235 Km/6-7 hrs)
Morning after breakfast city sightseeing tour visit including Laxman Jhoola, Ram Jhoola, Tapovan, Muni ki Reti & Ashrama’s. In the afternoon drive to Delhi. On arrival transfer to the International airport time to catch flight for onward destination.
