Day 01: Arrival Delhi
On your arrival at Delhi airport, you will be welcome by our representative & transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure or for your own activities. An overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Ahmedabad
Morning at leisure. After breakfast transfer to domestic airport in Delhi to board the flight for Ahmedabad. On arrival at Ahmedabad airport meet with our representative & transfer to the hotel. An overnight stay at Ahmedabad.
Day 03: Photography at Nal Sarovar
Morning & afternoon photography safaris at Nal Sarovar. Enjoy a night stay at Ahmedabad.
Nal Sarovar is the place where the birds travel 3500 kms from its nesting ground in Central Europe to spend the winters. More than 200 types of birds land in this lake having made an equally long journey to escape the harsh winter of their nesting areas.
Day 04: Ahmedabad - Little Rann of Kutch
In the morning after breakfast transfer to Dasada. Enjoy safari drive in the Little Rann of Kutch. Here, you will have an opportunity to capture Red necked falcon, shikra, blue throat, rosy starling, black ibis, white pelican, grey and pond heron, pied, common and white-throated kingfisher, etc. After lunch, depart for another drive in the Little Rann of Kutch, a sanctuary for the Indian wild ass. An ancient seabed turned by geological forces into saline desert plains, the Rann has grassy patches that offer great opportunity for photography of Birds & other animals. An overnight stay at the resort.
Day 05: Little Rann of Kutch
Full day photography safari tour at LRK to capture Indian Wild Ass. Enjoy a night stay at the resort.
The Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary, set up to protect the last remaining populations of this majestic mammal, is part of the Little Rann of Kutch and is, in fact, India’s largest wildlife sanctuary. Blackbucks and Nilgai are other common herbivores in the Rann.
Day 06: Dasada - Greater Rann of Kutch
After visiting Little Rann of Kutch, now the time is to move to the next destination Greater Rann of Kutch. After Morning safari at LRK, return to the resort for breakfast. Later drive to Bhuj The Greater Rann of Kutch. On arrival, check-in at the resort. Dinner & Overnight stay. The Great Rann of Kutch together with the Little Rann of Kutch and the Banni grasslands make up the district of Kutch which is one of the largest districts of India. Surrounded by the Arabian Sea and the salt encrusted desert wilderness of the Rann of Kutch, this district is the last frontier of traditions, lifestyle, tribal culture, art & crafts that have changed little over the centuries. The Greater Rann of Kutch is well known as a breeding ground for some of the largest flocks of greater and lesser flamingos.
Day 07: Greater Rann of Kutch
Morning session will be at Fulay (Banni) for Grey Hypocolius Proceed further to Chhari-Dhand Wetlands (Full Day) for Raptors, wader, Ducks and Common Cranes. An overnight stay at the resort.
Day 08: Greater Rann of Kutch
Visit Fot Mahadev for White Nape Tit, Marshall’s Iora, Rufous fronted Prinia, Large Woodshrike, Common Woodshrike, White Bellied Minivet & Sykes Lark. Enjoy an overnight stay at the resort.
Day 09: Greater Rann of Kutch - Gir National Park
In the morning, after breakfast drive to Gir National Park. On arrival, check-in at the resort. Evening is free for leisure. An overnight stay at Gir National Park.
Gir National Park is a drapery of dry deciduous forests, acacia scrub and grassland, fed by rivers and reservoirs, Gir is the last abode of the Asiatic lion and has a blooming population of panther (leopard), sambar, chital (spotted deer), nilgai (blue bull antelope) and wild boar. Gir is also one of the major habitats of chousingha (the world's only four-horned antelope) and chinkara (Indian gazelle) that are hard to spot in the teak forests along the game drive trails.
Day 10: Gir National Park
Morning and afternoon Safari drives in the Gir forests to get the chance to capture big cats and to watch other wildlife. Between the drives, visit Somnath to see the shore temple (one of the 12 holy abodes of Shiva). Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.
Day 11: Gir National Park
Morning & afternoon Photography tours to Gir National Park in an open jeep to explore the Wildlife. Enjoy a night stay at the resort.
Day 12: Gir National Park - Blackbuck National Park, Velavadar
After Morning safari depart for Velavadar National Park. On arrival, check-in at the resort. Overnight stay at the resort.
Velavadar National Park is also known as Blackbuck National Park, the grassland lies between two rivers namely Parvalia and Alang, which drain into the Gulf of Cambay. During the monsoon the area is often flooded. The beauty of the grassland is enhanced by the movements of blackbucks and nilgais, which one can see from long distances. A small wetland in the southern part of the Park attracts birds like pelicans, flamingos, ducks, waders, coots, white storks, painted storks and sarus cranes etc.
Day 13: Blackbuck National Park, Velavadar
The day is booked for photography tour to Velavadar National Park.
Velavadar is a large piece of flat land with a lot of grass, Ideal for the Blackbucks, Nilgais (India largest antelope) & The Wolf. The Indian fox and the Jungle cat are also common in the area.
An overnight stay at the resort.
Day 14: Blackbuck National Park, Velavadar - Ahmedabad - Delhi
Morning is free for leisure and in time transfer to the international Airport in Delhi to Board the flight for home country. The memories will linger in the photographs that you have captured during this wildlife Photography Tour to West India.
Day 15: Delhi - Departure
