About Kaziranga Wildlife Tours

Kaziranga National Park is a pristine forest area and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, located between the Brahmaputra River and the Karbi (Mikir) Hills, stretching across 430 sq KM in the northeastern state of Assam, India. This park boasts rich biodiversity, with grasslands dotted, with ponds and patches of woodlands making it a perfect refuge place for the one-horned Rhinoceros. In 1905, when Mary Curzon, the wife of the Viceroy of India, visited to see the Rhinoceros she couldn't find the single one, from that she initiated and planned how to protect the rhinoceros and she created this place as a Reserved forest. Later, the Tiger population also increased and was declared as 'Tiger Reserved' in 2006.

Kaziranga National Park is the only park where visitors can observe wildlife tours such as one-horned Rhinoceros, wild water Buffalos, Elephants and Swamp Deer. The wildlife safari at this park also features a bird area with 300 bird species, including lesser white-fronted goose, ferruginous duck, Baer's pochard duck and many more. All of these things combine and provide a unique view of the Kaziranga.

Best Time to Visit Kaziranga

The best time for wildlife tourism in Kaziranga National Park is from November to April. Most of the tourists love to visit in these months.

  • Summer Season -The months of April and May are th e ideal time for Rhino sightings, as the dry season forces animals to go out in search of water, increasing the visibility of the animals.
  • Monsoon Season -From May to October, the park remains closed, and wildlife tours aren't possible due to heavy rainfall and the risk of flooding from the Brahmaputra River.
  • Winter Season -Winter is the best tourism season for Kaziranga. The months of November to February are cooler months that provide pleasant weather for wildlife tours. And elephant grass is burned off, that's why the visitors can see clearly.

Great Holiday in North India
Just returned from a 12 day trip which included Delhi , Agra, Ranthambore, Jhansi and Khahjuraho. All arrangements worked brilliantly and hotels were great. We were lucky enough to see a tiger in Ranthambore - one of the trip's highlights. All the hotels were very comfortable and service very good. Our thanks to Naveen for organising the trip , and also to our wonderful driver Visht. Visht was always on time, proactive, polite and helpful, and an excellent driver. Overall an amazing experience and we are very glad we used this company.
