Located on the northern side of Kathmandu valley, Swayambhunath sits atop its hill overlooking almost every part of the valley. The temple which treats its tourists with an amazing panoramic view of the city is the most visited tourist destination and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tourists have to climb up to 375 steep staircases to reach this tourist destination, but there are also roads so one can drive up to the hilltop as well. The temple complex consists of magnificent domed stupa along with temples and shrines, each one of which is decorated with gold flags and vibrant color flags.
