Unlike its touristy neighborhood Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai is a quiet and peaceful place to be. Chiang Rai is blessed with a couple of unique sightseeing locations like White Temple, Clock Tower, and Blackhouse. The city inhabited by those from hill tribes and Chinese lineage is not full of touristy activities but still manages to be one of the places that tourists must visit in Thailand. Golden Clock Tower which serves as the traffic roundabout of the city is one of the major landmarks of the city. The place is also the sight of sound and light show. Another place that is a must see is Wat Rong Khun commonly known as the White Temple. The place which is straight out of heaven is carved with stunning white stone and has jaw-dropping details. The religious complex is a unique piece of art even in Thailand. Baan Dam Museum or Blackhouse is the dark yet creative place to be. The place is not a religious attraction but on the contrary is a home too late artist and his controversial artworks. The night market is another place which can be explored by food lovers and shopaholics. The place is best to buy souvenirs, silk scarves, dresses at a very negotiable price. Away from city’s hustle bustle, Chaing Rai is a perfect place for laid back and relaxed city vibes and a place every tourist should experience at least once.
