Micro -disectomies for Cervical and Lumbar Discs
Micro disc surgery is the removal of lumbar or herniated disc that presses against the nerve root or even the spinal cord. This procedure is performed as microdiscectomy that uses a microscope to see the nerves and discs.
There are several spinal surgeries that follow posterior approach under the cervical microdiscectomy. Lumbar microsisectomy is done to remove certain portions of the herniated disc that are inflammatory or irritating the nerve root.
