Balloon aortic valvuloplasty
A Balloon Valvuloplasty is also often known as a Vulvulotomy or a Voluotomy. This is a procedure which is used to widen a heart valve that has been narrowed. This is usually done to the aortic valve, and the procedure is generally called a Balloon Aortic Valvuloplasty. The Ballooning effect is used to create a widened opening in the aortic valve to allow improved blood flow to the heart.
