Standing tall at an elevation of 6800 feet above the sea level, the Chembra Peak is the highest mountain in Wayanad. The rugged terrains of Chembra Peak are covered with green grasses and meadows making it looking nothing less than a spectacular Shamrock. The peak is a fusion of grace and thrill. Wayanad is famous for the trekking expedition, and with Chembra Peak in its territory, adventure thirst of thrill seekers is fulfilled. The unprecedented scenery and patchy seven hills make this place a perfect spot to trek. The three and half trek will take tourists to the misty points, from where they can enjoy a spectacular view of the things surroundings. For the environment lovers, the peak has something utterly beautiful in its kitty. On a trek to the top of the hill, tourists will see a heart-shaped lake in the middle of the wood called Hridaya Saras. The lake acts as a soft spot to give a soothing rest to the itchy feet. Usually, trekkers use the bank of the lake for overnight camping. Climbing hills just to watch picturesque lake is worth every effort, penny, and time. From the top of the peak, tourists can see the bird's eye view of the entire Wayanad city. Visitors can also relish the view of the minor districts like Kozhikode, Malappuram, and Nilgiri. The peak remains open for tourists all year around.
