Dental Implant

Dental implant surgery involves placing artificial tooth roots (dental implants) in the jawbone to support false teeth. These artificial tooth roots can be screw-like posts or other metal pieces, which provide a strong foundation for permanent or removable replacement teeth. This procedure is a good alternative for individuals who have lost a tooth (or teeth) because of an injury, periodontal disease, or any other reason.

There are mainly two types of dental implants – endosteal implants, which include cylinders, screws, or blades that are surgically positioned into the jawbone; subperiosteal implants, which are placed on top of the jawbone with the help of posts of metal framework that protrude through the gum.

The procedure of dental implant surgery is based on the type of implant and the condition of the jaw bone. The implants provide solid support to the new teeth and allow the bone to heal tightly around the implant.
