Frequent flights are run by Druk Air, Bhutan\u2019s national carrier, from Paro\u00a0from many major cities like Bangkok, Guwahati, Delhi, Kolkata, Kathmandu and more. From Paro, buses are available via Trashigang and Mongar, however the journey is long. Cabs can also be hired to reach Samdrup Jongkhar.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Samdrup Jongkhar enjoys good road connectivity with the other cities of Bhutan as well as India. Tourists can visit Samdrup Jongkhar from two routes, the northern route from Thimphu and the southern route from Guwahati, India. It takes a three-day bus ride from Thimphu to reach Samdrup Jongkhar via stops at Trashigang and Mongar. Travellers can also halt at Jakar for a night and continue towards Samdrup Jongkhar from the next morning.<\/p>\n
