The nearest airport to Mongar is the Paro International Airport in Paro (452 km away). This airport runs several flights connecting Bhutan with all the major cities of the world. One has to reach Thimphu from here and then take a bus to Mongar. Buses going to Mongar are available from Thimphu in the morning and it takes around 11 hours to complete this journey.
